Hans Koay – Class of 2025

In his roles as Student Councillor and dancer, Hans Koay (24-E3) led by example in all that he did. His constant pursuit of excellence, coupled with his dedication to uplifting those around him, makes him a true inspiration.

“Being in EJ felt magical. In the blink of an eye, all the experiences became memories packed with emotions. It was through moments of hard work, camaraderie, mentorship, and fun that I was able to thoroughly enjoy my two years in EJ. 

The strong sense of community has been my greatest motivation throughout my time in EJ. I feel blessed to have met so many fun, genuine, and encouraging friends who have been with me through both the laughter-filled moments and the tough times. I am so thankful that EJ has given me the space to forge lasting friendships with all of them!

EJ has taught me to be daring. I have learned to step up and try new things, which has helped me discover new interests and find more joy in the everyday. Joining new CCAs in EJ and breaking out of my comfort zone by immersing myself in the many events EJ has to offer have helped me become someone I am proud of today. In the future, I would like to continue breaking new barriers and really appreciate what the world has to offer.”
