The 2025 Direct School Admission (DSA-JC) exercise for admission into JC1 in 2026 opens on 7 May 2025. The College is looking for outstanding individuals in the following areas:

Eligibility and Admission Criteria
The DSA-JC exercise is open to all Secondary 4 students in local schools who demonstrate special talents and achievements in areas such as sports, the arts, bilingualism, music, humanities, or leadership. Applicants should be confident in their ability to handle the academic rigour of the A-Level curriculum at Eunoia Junior College.
Successful applicants must:

Show strong passion and aptitude in their chosen DSA domain;

Possess a clear understanding of the requirements of a junior college education;
-
Be familiar with the subject combinations offered at EJC and ensure alignment with their academic goals.
Students offered a place through DSA will receive a Letter of Offer by 12 August 2025. Those placed on the waiting list will be notified via phone, and all other applicants will be informed of their application outcome via email.
Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of the offer by 15 August 2025, 5pm. Applicants on the waiting list will be informed of their final outcome by the same deadline.
Please note:

Successful DSA-JC applicants will not be allowed to participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE), as a place in the college would have been reserved for them.

They are also not permitted to transfer to another junior college after the release of the GCE O-Level results.

Students are expected to honour their DSA commitment by actively participating in activities related to the talent area they were admitted under, for the full duration of the programme.

Students who do not fulfil their DSA obligations without valid reason may be required to transfer to another school.

Application Process
Submission of Supporting Documents
Applicants are required to submit the necessary documents, including academic results and supporting materials that are required in the various categories as stated below in their chosen domain.
All applicants must complete the online application form and submit it by 30 June 2025. They should also upload the required supporting documents and/or videos for their CCA or programme into a publicly accessible Google Drive folder and include the folder link in the form. We strongly advise applicants to carefully read the submission requirements for their selected CCA or programme (under “Criteria And Selection Process”) before filling in the online application form.
Programme-Specific Trial/Audition/Selection Exercise
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in programme-specific trials, assessments or auditions to evaluate their current skill level, potential, and readiness for the demands of the programme.
Interview
Applicants will attend an interview that will assess their:

Readiness for the academic and co-curricular demands of junior college education.

Readiness, passion and commitment towards the domain in which they are applying.

Understanding of and dedication to fulfilling the expectations of the DSA programme.

Phase 1: Shortlisting
Applicants are required to consolidate and submit the necessary documents and supporting materials through a Google Drive link in the online application form, demonstrating passion and strong ability in their niche area:

One set of Secondary 3 End-of-Year examination results and one set of Secondary 4 Weighted Assessment results.
Phase 2: Physical Trial
Applicants will be required to attend a physical trial/selection exercise. You will be contacted by the CCA teacher in charge of the category that you are applying for. Interviews will be conducted in June/July 2025, exact details will be emailed/SMSed to successful applicants.
Phase 3: Interview
Applicants will be assessed for their suitability and readiness for JC curriculum and alignment with school values.
Performing Arts CCAs
Phase 1: Shortlisting
Applicants are required to consolidate the following items and submit them through a Google Drive link in the online application form:

One set of Secondary 3 End-of-Year examination results and one set of Secondary 4 Weighted Assessment results.

A video recording of solo/small group performance (dance or music) showing current standard with the following requirements:
-
Recorded within the last two years.
-
Applicant’s face, hands, and full body (for dance) must be visible.
-
No editing or enhancements allowed.
-
Certificates of achievement in relevant international or national competitions other than SYF (if any).
-
Additional qualifications if any (e.g. ABRSM certificates, dance certifications).
Phase 2: Audition
Shortlisted applicants will attend a live audition to evaluate their skill set and artistic potential.
Phase 3: Interview
Applicants will be assessed for their suitability and readiness for JC curriculum and alignment with school values.
Bilingualism
Shortlisting Criteria
Applicants are required to demonstrate passion and strong ability in both English and Chinese. They must meet one or more of the following:

Applicants should have consistently obtained distinctions in O-Level English and either Chinese or Higher Chinese.
-
They should also demonstrate strong bilingual proficiency and a keen interest in both Western and Chinese cultures, as evidenced by achievements or awards in language-related competitions, essay writing, or project work.
-
Successful candidates are expected to participate actively in the Bicultural Studies Programme and must offer at least one of the following H2 subjects: China Studies in Chinese, Chinese Language and Literature, or Translation.
Selection Exercise
Applicants are required to consolidate the following items and submit them through a Google Drive link in the online application form:

One set of Secondary 3 End-of-Year examination results and one set of Secondary 4 Weighted Assessment results.

Two pieces of writing—one in English and one in Chinese—must be submitted (school essays are acceptable).
-
A video in Mandarin (not exceeding 2 minutes) on the topic: "How I can contribute as a DSA Bilingualism student." The video should be recorded in landscape orientation and submitted in MP4 format.
Interview
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview to assess their proficiency in both languages, appreciation of Chinese and Western cultures, and potential to apply their bilingual and bicultural strengths meaningfully during their time in junior college and in future endeavours.
Music Elective Programme (MEP)
Shortlisting Criteria
Applicants are required to demonstrate passion and strong ability in music and meet one or more of the following:

Quality grades in O-Level Music or Higher Music.
-
Achievements/awards in music performance or composition in international or national competitions or events.
-
Participation in national level ensembles (e.g., SNYO, SNYCO).
Selection exercise through video and composition/arrangement submission
Applicants are required to consolidate the following items and submit them through a Google Drive link in the online application form:

One set of Secondary 3 End-of-Year examination results and one set of Secondary 4 Weighted Assessment results.

Video recordings of two contrasting pieces, 5–10 minutes total (recorded within the last 2 years).

One original composition/arrangement (2–5 minutes), submitted as:

Acoustic: Score (PDF) + demo audio (MP3/WAV), OR
-
DAW-produced: Exported audio track only (MP3/WAV).

Interview and selection test
Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview and selection test to evaluate their listening and creative skill, theoretical understanding and ability to meet demands of the MEP curriculum.
Humanities Programme
Shortlisting Criteria
Applicants must have consistently strong academic performance, particularly in the humanities and English Language. They must meet one or more of the following:

Distinctions in O-Level English Language and at least one humanities subject.

Recognised achievements in competitions, essays, or projects in humanities.
-
Evidence of a broad and balanced reading diet.
-
A strong and nuanced interest in global and local issues.
-
Ability to articulate a unique personal perspective.
Selection Exercise
Applicants are required to consolidate the following items and submit them through a Google Drive link in the online application form:
i) One set of Secondary 3 End-of-Year examination results and one set of Secondary 4 Weighted Assessment results.
ii) Two samples of original written work: school essays may be included.
iii) Critical thinking essay: keep within 600 words.

Interview
Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview to assess analytical depth, originality of thought, and ability to contribute meaningfully to the programme.

Shortlisting Criteria

Selection Exercise
Applicants are required to consolidate the following items and submit them through a Google Drive link in the online application form:

One set of Secondary 3 End-of-Year examination results and one set of Secondary 4 Weighted Assessment results.

A maximum 3-minute video (there is no need for special effects and visual embellishments): "Based on your personal experiences, what does it mean to lead?" (Please note that applicants need not have held formal leadership roles but should be able to articulate who you are and what leadership means to you.)

A document containing the name, designation and contact details of two referees who can vouch for your credibility.
Interview
Shortlisted applicants are required to attend a group interview for the panel to evaluate your leadership potential, interpersonal skills, and alignment of qualities with EJC’s college vision.
