Prajeethram Senthilkumar – Class of 2025
Prajeethram Senthilkumar (24-O4) is a familiar face for the rest of his cohort, having played a vital part in initiating his juniors at Orientation 2025 and being ever-present at cohort raves, house activities and community events. His positivity despite setbacks minor and major was obvious to all, and proved to be an uplifting presence amongst his peers.
"Looking back, my time in EJ was really exciting and something I would never forget. I was really in awe of the amazing school culture coming into EJ, and the 2 years here definitely proved to me that it is as good as I thought it would be or even better. Coming via the JAE pathway, I was initially worried about the divide between the JAE and IP cohorts. To my surprise, everyone was so welcoming. I immediately loved it here. I made soo many friends. School was very enjoyable. I really like I belong, so much so that leaving EJ was difficult.
One of the hardest times on my EJ journey is when I did not get into the Student Council. With a background as a councillor, I wanted to further develop my leadership skills and contribute to the school. Instead of feeling let down, I found other avenues and many valuable learning opportunities to be a better version of myself. I was privileged to serve as the Vice-President for my CCA, Service Learning Club and as Programmes IC for Orientation in 2025.
It would definitely be my friends and teachers here. My friends went through everything with me, and whenever we struggled with something, we looked out for each other and helped one another. I think that this really helped me learn more effectively. I always felt a sense of community and unity with them. My teachers as well were always happy to help me whenever I was stuckand they too were determined for me to succeed, motivating me and pushing me to be where I am today.
While planning for Orientation, I met many new friends – I still treasure the many early-morning practices for the House Walk-in, which really brought the team together. Working so hard with my peers to warm welcome our juniors was really worth the effort, especially when we got to see them enjoying themselves during Orientation. Thinking about these experiences now makes saying goodbye to EJ very difficult."
