Angel Lim – Class of 2025
Angel Lim (24-U6), member of ODAC and the Student Council, navigated her time at EJ with reflection and integrity. From balancing multiple commitments to tackling challenges like low House morale, she approached each situation with thoughtfulness and determination. Angel’s leadership was defined not just by results, but by the respect, care, and example she set for her peers, leaving a meaningful impact on the school community.
“My journey in EJ has been a truly transformative one. I first entered EJ feeling like a “blind chick,” uncertain and unsure of many things. But along the way, I was incredibly privileged to meet many wonderful people and create meaningful memories through my various experiences in House, ODAC, Council, and even my trip to Vietnam. Through these opportunities, I faced and overcame challenges such as low House morale, balancing multiple commitments, and falling short of expectations. With the encouragement and support of those around me, I gradually grew into the person I am today.
What drove me throughout this journey was a deep sense of respect for the people around me. I was blessed to be surrounded by individuals who supported me not just in my academics, but also in my many commitments. To me, one way of honouring their kindness was to always do my best in everything I set out to do. At the same time, I tried to reflect that same love and respect in my own actions, in how I carried myself each day, and in how I treated others.
Looking back, what I hope to carry forward most is the sense of fulfilment I found in EJ. Over these two years, I gained not only valuable lessons, but also a clearer understanding of who I am and the kind of person I aspire to be. I grew in ways I never expected, and formed bonds that I will always hold close to my heart — each one representing a meaningful part of my journey. Altogether, these experiences have left me with a warmth and fulfilment that I will carry with me long after EJ.”
