Freyann Lee – Class of 2025
As the President of Street Dance, Freyann Lee (24-A2) led with poise and authenticity, helping our Street Dancers find their Elysium here at EJC. Aside from her commitment to her CCA, Freyann contributed to nurturing a culture of belonging in college, whether it be with her class or the EunoiaGO Chiang Mai team.
“I underestimated my seniors when they said my two years in EJ would pass in a flash. Looking back, it feels surreal how quickly everything unfolded. My time in EJ has been a meaningful and eye-opening chapter, marked by growth, challenges, friendships, and the boundless exuberance of youth. From lectures and tutorials to standing on stage for events and performances, each experience shaped me in unexpected ways. Though there were moments of doubt and exhaustion, they made the victories we shared all the more meaningful.
Being part of a close-knit Street Dance team of 11 pushed me to constantly improve and stay committed. The long hours of practising and choreographing taught me discipline, teamwork, and the importance of showing up for one another. Participating in EunoiaGO Chiang Mai with a dedicated group of teachers and students and interacting with the locals also broadened my perspective on service and empathy, reminding me to lead with heart and gratitude. Above all, it was my classmates who made EJ feel like a second home, embracing the “work hard, play hard” spirit together. Ultimately, it wasn’t just the programmes or achievements that inspired me, but the people behind them and the relationships built along the way that kept me going.
Out of the countless #whyEJs, I find myself wanting to relive the simple routines that slowly became special. One feeling I want to keep from EJ is the quiet comfort of our everyday moments — from lingering corridor conversations and staying in the studio late into the evenings until we were chased out, to studying together, walking through Bishan Park and squeezing into the lift as a class. More than anything, it’s the sense of togetherness in growing and navigating this phase of life side by side that I’m not ready to let go of as a Eunoian.”
